All of Talbot Grove’s olive oils are extra virgin, the best category of olive oil, combining the greatest health benefits with wonderful flavour and aroma. They contain no additives or preservatives, but are simply the juice of the olive extracted from its fruit. The oil is extracted by purely mechanical means and at a temperature (“cold pressed”) that does not lead to alterations in the oil. The result is an oil with a unique taste and freshness at the peak of its flavour. We have decided to produce varietal oils, since each olive variety produces an oil with its own distinct characteristics. The varieties grown are Frantoio, Manzanilla and Nevadillo Blanco.
Frantoio has a pleasant peppery taste and is ideal for pasta, seafood and meat dishes. Try drizzling it over a fillet of fish! It is a great all purpose oil and the most popular of our oils with restaurants.
Manzanilla is fruity with a peppery aftertaste. It is particularly suited for salads.
Nevadillo has a wonderful aroma and a balanced complexity of flavours, most reminiscent of a nutty flavour. Fantastic for dipping.
